German Kurzhaar, or German Shorthair Pointing Dog, German Shorthaired Pointer – (derived from German Kurzhaar, literal translation – “short coat”), is a breed of hunting dogs bred in Germany. The ancestors of the modern Kurzhaar were used for hunting game (a variety of birds, rabbits and hares). The exact origin of the breed is unknown, according to the most common version, it is believed that the Kurzhaars descended from old German cops crossed with Spanish cops. The modern breed standard began to take shape in the second half of the 18th century. By the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, the breed characteristics were entered in the registers of England and Germany, then the kurtshaars became internationally widespread, becoming one of the most popular hunting breeds in the USA. Corgis are classified as medium-sized dogs and are of two types: the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Welsh Corgi Cardigan, named after their place of origin – Cardiganshire and Pembrokeshire in Wales.
The ancestors of the modern Welsh Corgi cardigan came to the British Isles when the Celts developed this territory. The first description of Corgi dogs is indicated in literature dating back to the 10th century.

The Caucasian Shepherd Dog, also popularly known as the “Caucasian Wolfhound”, refers to large dogs whose homeland is the Caucasus. The age of the breed is about 2–2.5 thousand years. Already from the name of the breed it is clear that these dogs were used to protect flocks of sheep from wolves and other predators. The formation of the breed took place under the influence of the shepherd traditions of mountain peoples, on the basis of selection for breeding of the largest, strongest animals with a good instinct, but at the same time trained and obedient to humans. According to popular theory, the ancestor of the Caucasian Shepherd Dog is the Tibetan Great Dane. According to another version, these wolfhounds were actively bred in the ancient state of Urartu (according to other sources – Assyria), where they were used as guard and fighting dogs. Be that as it may, it is known for certain that the shepherd dogs perfectly protected the fortress from enemies, and the sheep from the wolves and were even taken by special order to serve in the army of the Russian Empire.
