Pekingese

There is also another name for the Pekingese – the lion dog, referring us to the legends about its origin (according to them, one of the ancestors of this dog was none other than a lion). The Pekingese is from China and the first historical references to dogs similar in descriptions to the Pekingese date back to 6-7 centuries BC, that is, according to the most conservative estimates, the Pekingese are more than 2500 years old! In China, developing for a long time apart from European civilization, dogs of this breed belonged to the elite. So, the Pekingese lived with the imperial family and were revered as protectors from evil spirits. I knew that I carried dwarf dogs with me at the ceremony, according to some reports, in the sleeves of a kimono. Corgis are classified as medium-sized dogs and are of two types: the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Welsh Corgi Cardigan, named after their place of origin – Cardiganshire and Pembrokeshire in Wales.

ORIGIN
The ancestors of the modern Welsh Corgi cardigan came to the British Isles when the Celts developed this territory. The first description of Corgi dogs is indicated in literature dating back to the 10th century.
